Una de nuestras voluntarias formadas ayud\u00f3 a Cara a creer en s\u00ed misma y la dot\u00f3 de informaci\u00f3n y recursos para ayudarle a superar su inesperado embarazo y su nueva maternidad, como a tantas otras clientas como ella.<\/p>\n<p>Cara estaba asistiendo a una universidad cercana con una beca y se esforzaba mucho para que le fuera bien en su educaci\u00f3n. Una relaci\u00f3n ef\u00edmera con un compa\u00f1ero de estudios cambi\u00f3 la vida de Cara. Acudi\u00f3 a Birthright para someterse a una prueba de embarazo gratuita, sinti\u00e9ndose ansiosa y preocupada por la posibilidad real de estar embarazada.<\/p>\n<p>En los largos minutos de espera de los resultados, Cara habl\u00f3 con franqueza sobre sus objetivos de obtener un t\u00edtulo en justicia penal y encontrar un buen trabajo en su campo. Si tiene \u00e9xito, ser\u00e1 la primera de su familia en graduarse en la universidad. La voluntaria de Birthright, Therese, escuch\u00f3 atentamente las preocupaciones de Cara y finalmente le ley\u00f3 los resultados de la prueba de embarazo.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-631 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/birthrightwestchester.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/3-300x300-1.png\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fue positivo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hab\u00eda mucho que pensar y resolver. \u00bfQu\u00e9 hacer con este embarazo no planificado?<\/p>\n<p>Therese aconsej\u00f3 a Cara que no se precipitara a tomar ninguna decisi\u00f3n r\u00e1pida. Therese le dijo que pensara en las personas de su vida que le proporcionar\u00edan apoyo y ayuda.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Cara, no est\u00e1s sola. Puedes hacerlo. Birthright est\u00e1 aqu\u00ed para ti. Los primeros meses fueron duros para Cara, ya que intentaba terminar su semestre universitario con un beb\u00e9 reci\u00e9n nacido, pero Cara persever\u00f3. Se gradu\u00f3 un a\u00f1o y medio despu\u00e9s, siendo la primera de su familia en hacerlo. Estaba muy orgullosa de su logro.<\/p>\n<p>Cara le pidi\u00f3 a Therese que asistiera al bautizo de James y a su graduaci\u00f3n universitaria.
